We love the kitchen! It’s where food is created and stored, but it’s much more than that. There are also easy things you can do in and around the kitchen to even get more benefits. You can be as creative as you want, as the kitchen is filled with many great delights to build with. Below are some easy and helpful tips that you can try out:
-Kitchen tools need oiling? Apply a little glycerin with eye dropper. If any glycerin accidentally gets into food, don’t fret. It’s safe.
-Clear out hard-to-remove sediment That regularly clings to bottom of bottle or glass vase by filling vessel half full with warm soapsuds, then add a handful of carpet tacks. Shake energetically and watch the sediment loosen.
-Corks can stick in bottles containing sweet liquids ( sweetened extracts, for example. ). Prevent this by smoothing a little bit of waxed paper or tin foil around cork before inserting it in opening.
-Save dishwashing time. Use your china in revolution, so that there’s never a group at the bottom of the pile that remains unused. Always take dishes from the bottom of the pile, and when they’ve been washed and wiped, return to the number one spot. That way, none gathers dust.
-Deodorize inside refrigerator by Washing it with soapy water containing a little baking soda. Another fridge deodorizer. A lump of charcoal in your refrigerator absorbs fish, onion, and other powerful odours. Prevents them from penetrating butter, cheese, and other delicate foods.
-Say so long to unwelcome cooking odors. Neutralise them by boiling 3 tea-spoonfuls of ground clove in 2 cups water for 15 mins. Or heat some vinegar on range. Works like a charm.
-To locate a leak in a gas pipe, brush pipe with thick suds. If hole is present, escaping gas will cause bubbles to form at the leaky spot.
-Rust rings due to scouring-powder cans sitting on shelves in the loo or kitchen can be forestalled by covering bottom edges of the can with strips of scotch tape.
-To prevent white of the egg from spreading when poached, add 1 little spoon salt or a few drops of vinegar to each cup of water used for poaching.
-Save your large-size paper food store bats. They make fantastic lining for garbage pail or wastebasket, make disposal of refuse easier, keep receptacle clean. Paper-bag line all of your wastebaskets, for the same reason.
-Lick your postage problem. A cut potato surface is just wet enough to use for stamps. Saves you the un-pleasant chore of licking stamps and having the flavor of glue on your tongue. Wonderful when you have lots of envelopes to send out, as at Christmas time.
-Brighten dulled aluminum pans by boiling some apple parings in them.
-Stop frying-pan explosions. A little salt splattered in the frying pan will keep fat or lard from spattering. Also makes range cleaning less complicated.
The point is to be creative, of course not stupid, but there are so many things that can be more efficient and easier on your life, as increasing the quality of your life doesnt necessarily mean going out and purchasing all of the latest gadgets and such.
